There is no doubt that Chinese New Year will be different this year. Lockdowns and social distancing have already curtailed other celebrations, such as Christmas and Deepavali. Yet this does not mean we should abandon our celebrations. Also, it is important to celebrate together despite the pandemic.
On the eighth day of Chinese New Year, we have organized for one CNY celebration. We have gathered all the colleagues, including a few representatives from home office and other subsidiaries. The events start with opening speech by emcee and one of the interesting parts are the video pre-recorded by the colleagues. They have compiled all their warmest greetings and edited into one creative video. The event ended with distribution of Ang Paos via e-wallet.
While it’s fun and creative to celebrate via ZOOM, however it is still the best if we celebrate it physically. Let’s wish for the quick end to this pandemic.
