Tradition Meets Modernity: Exploring the Contemporary Significance of CNY 2023

By February 10, 2023 August 22nd, 2023 No Comments

As a Chinese, we had a long-standing tradition of celebrating the Chinese New Year (CNY) together. And this year, we wanted to include everyone who based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. So, to extend an invite to all the colleagues, the management team had decided on a Group CNY Event in Sg.Buloh factory to share the fun.

As a Malaysians, everyone of us are able to collaborate across cultural boundaries and this could be seen well from the multi-racial committee team. In addition, all the committee members were empowered through accountability and we plan to ensure the event runs smoothly.

On the event actual day (3rd of February 2023), everyone arrived and started registering at 8.30 am. The festivities begin at 9.00 am with a lion dance performance, which is followed by a firecracker display. After that, before the group lunch, we had a pre-recorded video of the representative from top management team’s opening remarks and the CNY Greetings footage from other subsidiaries are also being played. We began the Yee Sang Toasting ritual before beginning to eat lunch. While everyone is enjoying the food around lunch time, we had Service Award Presentation and lucky draw too.

The Chinese New Year celebration 2023 was a success! By the end of the day, we spent time together, have fun and enjoy the party! All of us had a great time!
